Baby Shower Picnic

Here's Tori and Amber deciding what to eat during the Melanie and Rich's baby shower. In front of them, is dinuguan, a Filipino dish (pig's blood). I don't think neither of them ate it. On this day, I made linguini with shrimp and spinach with lots of garlic.

Blackberry Pearl

I now have the Centennial tag for my 2009 Honda Fit. It is colored black with gold. I have 4,600 miles in it now. Last week, I drove it to CT.

Honda Fit

The Fit getting super cleaned by Richie. And it's free!

Lil Nieces

When they were so cute and innocent...

Limo

Limo ride for the bride and groom in Baltimore, MD.

Mother/Daughter

How sweet Tori looks when she's in a good mood! This was taken in Baltimore, MD two years ago.

Hungry Barkada

Here are my friends from college. We get-together every chance we get. This was taken when they drove to visit me. Ludy lives in CT and Teng and Ditas in NJ. I hope to see them at Riley's baptism this Saturday. Five Guys' hamburgers and french fries are the best! I mix ketchup and mayo and dip my fries in it.

Great Niece

Heere's Riley ~ ! She's two months old. She will be baptized this Saturday 2/6/10. Although she looks happy here, she does cry a lot. But my mother assured us that crying babies grow up to be smart babies. Nikki and Brian cried alot. Sheila and I didn't. Go Figure.

Dr. Martens Boots

This is my type of shoes! So unladylike, but cool! I own 4 pairs of DMs, all used, all purchased on Ebay. I'm tired of Adidas and Birkenstock sandals, which I have too many of.

My Man

Here's Jamie with his youngest (and 3rd) daughter, Petal. Aren't they cute??
Now, this is my man, Jamie Oliver! Not only is he cute, but he can cook!! Anything, anywhere for anyone. Unfortunately, my friend had a bad experience when she ate at his restaurant, Fifteen, in London. I hope one day I get to check out his restaurant. I tried one of his recipes which was the anchioves with aragula and I loved it!

Gyoza

This is what I ordered at Mitsuwa food court, NJ. I love gyoza, too, but the best is at the pipeline restaurant in Okinawa. The pipeline restaurant used to be our house when I was in elementary school. I'm getting hungry posting so much food. I'll stop for now.

Bento

I miss eating bento (lunch boxes) in Okinawa. Even though they have bento in some supermarkets here, it's just not the same. This pic was taken in Mitsuwa Marketplace, Edgewater, NJ. This place is the closest of being in Okinawa, Japan I've seen. I love saba, unagi, those orange-colored fish eggs (I forgot the name), soki soba.

Food testing

This is the smallest cast iron by Lodge that I bought and I was testing the bulgogi. The best bulgogi is in the restaurant along Hwy. 58, Okinawa. They have the best sauce to dip the bulgogi meat in.

Welcome

Hello, welcome to my blog. My first time here. So please be patient while I get used to this. I'm an amateur so I know I will be slow in creating this site. My interests are: Jamie Oliver (British chef), antiques, thrift shops, Dr. Martens boots, Union Jacks, Adidas, leisure bicycling. I'm sure I'll add more later on. In the meantime, grab your coffee (I like Dunkin' Donuts coffee coolata or Starbucks caramel frappucino) and wait for me.
